"The things that people in love do to each other they remember, and if they stay together it's not because they forget, it's because they forgive." - Indecent Proposal
But the question is what is forgivable and what isn't?
Even if the two of you are deeply in love, one of you could still commit an unforgivable act.
Or can people that deeply in love really hurt each other? When in love, you are more likely concerned about what your loved one is feeling.
Or are you?

I think it's absolutely that two people that are truly in love will go out of their way NOT to hurt each other.
True love will never cheat, never lie, and never harm.
It's much easier to hurt someone you really don't give a crap about... or someone that just annoys the crap out of you.
It's easy to say that....but 10 years into the marriage, it sometimes seems like the hardest person in your life NOT to hurt is the one you love the most. True story.
long story, but once upon a time i had to take an anger management class. one of the things they kept stressing there was that the majority of the time it's a misconception that someone "made you feel" whatever (mad, sad, hurt, betrayed...). that when they did whatever they did that affected you they probably weren't even considering how it would affect you. or they considered you briefly and still couldn't control themselves. that at that moment, it was about them, and not you. and that in deep relationships that was hard for people to accept because that was kind of a let down in and of itself. would you rather know that your so thought about you when they made a decision to cheat on you, or would you rather know that they were so wrapped up in the moment, you didn't flash across their radar screens at all?
i dunno, haven't been in the situation, but it's given me stuff to think about for years.
Sean, that's some deep food for thought. I think it's true though. And yeah, I don't know what is worse.
And MJ and Trouble I think it is easy to hurt someone you don't like. And it's easy to hurt someone you like. Life can become a slippery slope.
pgh, I think dating, like marriage, is also purgatory.
